After spending his formative years in Connecticut, Jeremy set out to Chicago, IL for college. He was highly involved in the college music scene, both as a solo artist and as a founding member of St. Matthew’s Passion. A man of many talents, Jeremy also participated in a sketch comedy group. They were funny. No, really, their performances were the highlight over the year for several people. Some would even call them legendary.
Currently Jeremy has been performing with Andrea Dawn-another local singer-songwriter. Rather than attempt to put a label on their musical collaboration, Andrea and Jeremy simply learn, and perform, each other?s original material. The result is a unique yet accessible array of music. From the raw, folk infused choruses of Jeremy Junkin to the bluesy, often haunting anthems of Andrea Dawn, the duo explores the full palate of musical styles as well as human emotions. The songs are honest, poignant, and ultimately beautiful, and even amidst full or distorted arrangements, there remains an accute attention to lyric and melody.
