Well, we just came off of and intense weekend out in Valparaiso, IN. We spent two great days in the studio working on our new EP and we couldn’t be more pleased. A lot of the credit goes to Vinnie, who came and played drums on the record. He was able to lay down six amazing tracks in about 2 hours time. We didn’t expect it, but we should have considering what an incredible drummer that man is. With those tracks finished it made our lives much easier. The rest of that day was spent on guitar overdubs and horns. Our many thanks to Roger, Charleton, and Danielle for coming all the way out to Valpo to make that happen. We should also say thanks to Mike Neerhof for coming out and taking photos and video of Saturdays session. If you want to check out pictures, you should be able to go to Facebook and look them up on his site or mine or Zach’s or Andrea’s. What a weird sentence….
Anyway, we should definitely thank Mark over at The Alley Recording Co. and huge thanks to Dennis who is engineering this thing for us. We couldn’t have done all that we did without them. They even came early on Friday so that we could get everything set and ready to go. Check our Dennis’ website. His company is Absolute Audio. You can also check out the Alley Recording Co.’s web site if you’re ever interested in making a good record in a relaxed environment.
The rough mixes sound amazing already. I can’t wait for you all to hear it. Don’t forget that you can pre-order your copy for $6 before it comes out in January (shameless plug)! See you all at the next show.
